Maurice Reusen
Those who know Maurice understand why the thermometer is important to him. During the winter months, Maurice regularly measures the water temperature where he swims with other enthusiasts, known as walruses. He jumps for joy when the water is colder than 3.9 degrees Celsius and jumps for joy when a cut ice hole is open to swimming. For over 10 years, Maurice has been leading winter swimming training sessions to help him cope with the cold, boosting his mental and physical health for himself and others.
Maurice is an asset management consultant at Delta Pi. Most government agencies have long been asset management organizations, managing the various assets that deliver value. What is the value of these assets, and how do you make it measurable? Besides the value generated by the available resources, information, people, and processes, it also involves establishing an optimal asset management organization. Here, too, the connection lies with the thermometer. The value delivered, the opportunities, the anticipated risks, and the planned development steps must be tangible and measurable. And just like with winter swimming, people are central to asset management. In short, Maurice is ready to help you, your assets, and your organization take the next step.
Before joining the Delta Pi team, Maurice worked for over 24 years at Royal HaskoningDHV. His focus there was on civil engineering structures and (tactical) asset management, and he developed extensive knowledge of civil engineering structure inspection and consultancy. Civil engineering structures are often diverse and unique structures that provide value in terms of accessibility to (water)way networks or as flood defenses. Maurice has been a leading figure in various national committees, such as NEN2767 and CUR Recommendation 117 Inspection and Advice on Civil Engineering Structures, or manuals on civil engineering structure inspection with drones or monitoring. Combining this knowledge with the strengths of Delta Pi naturally leads to the measurable implementation of asset management strategies. We are happy to contribute to this.
