Whether he's developing an optimization model for spare parts for Rijkswaterstaat, conducting a risk analysis for the North-South metro line's station systems, or determining the failure rate of the Alblasserwaard pumping stations, Michiel is dedicated to his work and won't let go until he's delivered a high-quality product. In his work, he believes it's crucial to guarantee quality and ensure that his clients can truly benefit from the advice or analysis. He achieves this by not only delivering what the client requests, but also by incorporating personal insights and ideas into his advice. "When we, in collaboration with the client, achieve a truly good result, I get a tremendous amount of energy from it," says Michiel.

He gained his knowledge during his Masters in Science & Innovation Management and Urban Planning. Furthermore, Michiel possesses a natural, boundless curiosity about how systems function, how technical installations and systems operate, and the underlying reasons behind the choices people make. This makes Michiel a consultant who not only focuses on the technical aspects of his profession but also, and especially, on the human side. The result? High-quality advice with surprising insights.

In his free time, Michiel is just as ambitious. He's an avid runner, and completing the Berlin Marathon is high on his list.
