Cookie law

We would like to tell you what cookies are and what exactly they are used for, inform you about how Delta Pi handles cookies and explain how you can disable them if necessary.

Cookies are small pieces of information that your browser stores on your computer when you visit a website and that are used to remember things like your personal preferences. Delta Pi also uses cookies.

We use two types of cookies:

  1. Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function. Without these cookies, delta-pi.nl cannot function optimally. Under cookie law, no consent is required for this category of cookies.
  2. Analytics cookies. Delta-pi.nl works with Google Analytics and uses cookies so that we can measure where our visitors come from, which operating system they use, how many people read certain articles, etc. This information is of great importance to us; based on this measurement data, we can optimize the site and make it more user-friendly. The collected data is stored anonymously, so that it is never possible to trace the exact location from which the visit took place. The information thus obtained, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and stored by Google on servers. Read Google's privacy policy for more information, as well as the specific privacy policy of Google Analytics. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as these third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Delta Pi has no influence on this. Delta Pi has not allowed Google to use the obtained analytics information for other Google services. If you do not wish to install cookies at all, you can disable this in your browser. To do so, consult the help function and/or the settings of your browser: Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Additionally, you can also delete all information that was previously stored via your browser settings.

Security and retention period

Your (personal) data is protected against misuse and unauthorized access using current, commonly used technologies. Delta Pi retains your (personal) data for as long as necessary for the purposes stated above or as required by law. Delta Pi may retain your (personal) data for longer if circumstances warrant it.

Right to access, correct or delete your personal data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can submit a specific request to Delta Pi by sending an email to info@delta-pi.nl, stating your name and address. Delta Pi will generally respond to a request for access or correction within four weeks. In the event of a request for deletion, Delta Pi will delete the personal data in question as soon as possible, unless and insofar as the law requires retention of the personal data in question or there are (other) compelling reasons that prevent deletion.

If you have a complaint about the use of your personal data and you are unable to resolve it with Delta Pi, you can also submit your complaint to the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Changes

Delta Pi may amend this privacy statement. Delta Pi therefore recommends that you read this privacy statement regularly to stay informed of any changes. This privacy statement was last amended on February 22, 2019.
