As a leading organization, ProRail doesn't just sign a framework contract with anyone. As is often the case, this was preceded by an extensive tendering process. We are proud to announce that Delta Pi and ProRail will be joining forces in the coming years to focus on risk management.
ProRail client of infrastructure projects
ProRail is responsible for the Dutch railway network: construction, maintenance, management, and safety. ProRail implements risk management within its projects in accordance with the RISMAN methodology and the company-wide ProRail risk management framework based on ISO 31000. In practice, this entails a frequent risk assessment in which (un)desirable events, causes, and consequences are identified. Each risk is quantified, semi-quantitatively and quantitatively (for the probability of occurrence and the consequences in terms of time and money), and, if necessary, implemented with appropriate control measures. The RISMAN methodology is commonplace within ProRail. However, its implementation (and registration) varies. The Project Analysis department within ProRail is responsible for facilitating several aspects of Project Control within the projects, with an emphasis on the interaction between planning and risk management and the interaction between the financial (final) forecast and risk management.

Framework agreement for risk management support
On September 10, 2019, the framework agreement between ProRail and Delta Pi was signed. This framework agreement covers the performance of risk analyses for infrastructure projects and can also be used across the organization, for example, for developments and projects within asset management, operations, and procurement. The objective of the framework agreement is to gradually support ProRail, which prioritizes quality, in its further development as a professional and reliable partner in the project sector. The framework agreement is concluded for a period of five years.
